Think for yourself! September 21, 2010

Posted by mplibrary in @ your library.

The slogan of the American Library Association’s Banned Books Week 2010 is “Think for yourself and let others do the same!”  We are observing this annual celebration of our First Amendment freedoms with some readings, exhibits, posters, and free bookmarks.  Come by the library to view our displays and tick off the books you have read that have been considered dangerous by someone.   Bring a favorite banned book or poem to read (or read from ours) at one of these gatherings:

Monday Sept. 27- 11:00 am Quad (in case of rain, move into the SAC)

Tuesday Sept. 28- 11:00 am Chapel

Wednesday Sept. 29 – 11:00 am Quad

Thursday Sept. 30- 11:00 am Quad

Friday October 1 – 11:00 am Quad
