Dr Bill Bass returns to TWC April 20, 2010Posted by mplibrary in fun stuff.
The founder of “The Body Farm” anthropological research facility at the University of Tennessee will speak tonight at Townsend Auditorium here at TWC. Dr. Bill Bass is author of numerous scholarly, non-fiction, and fictional books along with co-author Jon Jefferson. Dr. Bass is known for his humorous demeanor even when describing the macabre Body Farm where corpses decay for science.
Much of what police and forensics investigators know about time since death and body decomposition has come directly from Dr. Bass’ research. He will lecture at 7:00 pm and also sell and sign his books. His most recent work of fiction, The Bone Thief , is already high on the New York Times bestseller list.
Convo credit offered; no admission charge. Sponsored by the E.G. Fisher Public Library Friends of the Library group and TWC.
