When Dr. Dan Gilbert published Magi: A Novel last fall, he was accustomed to answering questions about the long journey of the wise men to find the Christ child. Now the book has taken a lengthy journey of its own to readers in northern Europe.

Gilbert’s novel has been translated into Dutch and is being sold in the The Netherlands this Christmas season under the title De Magiërs. The publisher is Boekencentrum Uitgevers, which is affiliated with the Reformed Church of the Netherlands. You can see the novel’s listing on the publisher’s website at http://www.boekencentrum.nl/shop_details.php?productId=22748

“It is exciting to see the novel translated into a different language,” noted Gilbert. “And as an associate professor of business administration, it has been interesting to learn how fiction is marketed and distributed in Europe.”

Magi: A Novel is on sale in TWC bookstore, and Gilbert will be glad to autograph a copy for you – in English, of course.
